Press Release: Veteran Action Endorses Sen. Dan Sullivan, Launches Video Campaign on His Record for Veterans

Veteran Action endorses U.S. Sen. Dan Sullivan (R-Alaska) for reelection and launches a new video campaign spotlighting his work on behalf of America's veterans. Sullivan served 30 years in the Marine Corps, including recalls to active duty, and retired as a colonel.

"Veteran Action endorses Dan Sullivan because he leads from the front on veterans policy," said Mark Lucas, founder and president of Veteran Action. "As a Marine, he never stopped serving."

Sullivan cosponsors the Veterans' ACCESS Act, which guarantees veterans can see a community care provider when the VA cannot deliver timely care. He also cosponsors the Veterans' Bill of Rights Act, which requires the Department of Veterans Affairs to clearly inform veterans of their rights to care, benefits, dignity and informed consent.

Voters in both parties back these bills. A national Honest Poll survey of 1,633 registered voters, commissioned by Veteran Action, finds 85% of voters support the Veterans' ACCESS Act and 83% support the Veterans' Bill of Rights Act. Support tops 80% among both Republicans and Democrats for each bill. Among veterans and service members, support reaches 86% for the ACCESS Act and 88% for the Bill of Rights Act.
