Press Release: Veteran Action Releases Video Campaign Highlighting Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks' Stellar Record on Veterans

Veteran Action releases a new video campaign spotlighting the work of U.S. Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks (IA-01) on behalf of America's veterans.

"Mariannette Miller-Meeks is the biggest champion veterans have in Congress," said Mark Lucas, founder and president of Veteran Action. "She consistently leads on veterans issues. Her 24 years in the Army and her experience as a physician make her an incredible advocate for veterans."

Miller-Meeks introduced the Veterans' Bill of Rights Act, which requires the Department of Veterans Affairs to clearly inform veterans of their rights to care, benefits, dignity and informed consent. She supports the Veterans' ACCESS Act to strengthen VA community care. She also backs the Take Care of America's Veterans Act, a package of more than 60 bipartisan bills that expands health care, benefits and support for veterans, survivors, caregivers and military families.

Voters in both parties back these bills. A national Honest Poll survey of 1,633 registered voters, commissioned by Veteran Action, finds 85% of voters support the Veterans' ACCESS Act and 83% support the Veterans' Bill of Rights Act. Support tops 80% among both Republicans and Democrats for each bill. Asked about the Take Care of America's Veterans Act, 62% of voters say they are more likely to back a candidate who supports it, and 11% say they are less likely.

Veteran Action recently endorsed Miller-Meeks and Rep. Zach Nunn for reelection.
